RTZAS band set - a monster!

Cut the final bandset for the RTZAS, after much experimentation.

It is designed to shoot 25 and 30 mm steel balls.

Only when you see it next to a Panther with normal bands, you realize what a monster band set that is. BTW, it is quiet hard to cut such a band set with precision, very long cuts indeed.

  1. Hey Jörg,

Today I saw a video of you shooting an eisbein. That made me think that maybe one day you cold also make schmierwurst with a slingshot.

btw, this bandset made my eyes blink, but i think I'm not that strong to use your setup for slingshots.

  4. I tested it today against a 40mm (1.57") piece of particle board. It shoots 25mm steel balls clean through that thick board! Even my strongest full butterfly handhelds don't do that, they just dent the board.

  5. Certainly an impressive amount of energy. How did you accomplice the extra long band cuts? Did you use some sort of clamp down with a length of metal or wood as a guide for your cuts? How many bands did you cut to finally get all that you needed as perfectly as possible? I'm impressed more with that task as I recognize it to be very difficult.
Like others, I await the video with eagerness and I wonder if your making the band cuts was filmed.

  7. Hey Joerg, I have recently discovered your youtube channel as I am thinking of making myself a slingshot. Your stuff is amazing! I made some years ago when I was a kid using inertube rubber but this was not that good as it soon lost it's strength, I also made micro slingshots from thick copper wire that used office rubber and fired little wire "U" shapes (no pouch needed) they gave a nasty sting.
Do you have any advice on how to make a good slingshot without needing too many tools?
    Thanks
