HammerHowitzer

It was time to make another slingshot.

It is a mix between the Howitzer (fork measurements) and the Moorhammer (handle).

This time, I used palm wood for the handle, but it is laminated sideways to the multiplex core. I think the beauty of the palm wood comes out better this way. The palm wood has two sides, the outer part is harder and darker than the inner part. I retained that difference, so the two plates aren't alike.

  4. This looks great. I really like the palm wood that you used, it reminds me of a cheetah.

  5. I have an idea for a new test. Your ballistic gel tests are awesome, but I would love to see once and for all exactly what your most powerful conventional slingshots would do to an actual zombie. You should construct an anatomically correct model of a zombie torso from ballistic gel using other materials to simulate the skull, brain, ribs, organs, etc. I have seen where others have constructed these types of targets so I'm sure you could get some ideas from around the web, but I bet with your craftsmanship you could construct an amazing one. Think about it.

  7. Your selection of wood is just marvelous. I've seen a few of your slingshot mods using wood and every single one is just distinct and has wonderful shape to them as well as showing the different grains of wood. Maybe you can write a guide on the differences between the wood you have chosen to use and your opinion on them. I, for one, will definitely be looking forward to that (assuming you haven't already done that and my google-fu is bad).

  8. This is excellent! Great grain and comfortable design. Are the plans for this design or the moorhammer available in a PDF? I would really love to make one for myself.
