Cool Sling Shooter, If you leave the bands under the strain for very long do they lose power? hysteresis I think they call it. You might try leaving the bow cocked for 5 minutes then measured the velocity. Then try again after leaving it cocked for 10 minutes.? Great job, I like it.
Split stock construction, compacted draw length extention, set forward "bull-pup" trigger...all good stuff. :)
Flip away sight...well, it's a 50/50. Lack of a cheek piece is something left to wish for. A few things I'd do differently, but it would certainly take longer and cost more to build...but that's what the forum is for, right? I think it would be more fun if you challenged your members to improve on your designs and allow them to vote the winner with the most refined version...that way you'd be getting more quality rather than quantity and driving your community to new heights. Hope I'm not getting too far out of line...just making a suggestion. :)
I really want to make a slingshot.... but in Costa Rica is very difficult to find the right materials... or maybe they dont sell them.. But i have to say that , MAN YOU MAKE AWESOME SLINGSHOTS! Ive been in ove with your videos since i have memory! Keep the good work! XD! Greetings!
Jorg, I CANT COMPETE TO DO 150 POSTS. MY ARTHRITUS WON'T LET ME TYPE THIS MUCH. DO YOU HAVE ANY CONTEST FOR SENIOR AND DISABLED? WISH I COULD BUY ONE AT LEAST THANKS JIM K (REV SHNORR)
Jorg, what would happen if one of the rubber bands on one side broke, or the leather pouch broke, when the weapon is loaded under tension? Just wondering how the rubber and steel ball reacts in that case...wouldn't want the ball to come back at your face as hard as it goes into that coconut!
i will make this one too.
