"Swing" Mounted Scope Added

Added a scope. Of course one of the trusted German Army Surplus G36 scopes, 5 bucks a pop.

I glued it to a wooden ring, which in turn was glued to a 6mm bolt.

The swing arm is running very tightly on an axis made from 6mm aluminum tubing, no play in the mechanism. A rubber band holds it into place.

The scope is attached to the swing arm with the bolt, which allows me to adjust the aim left-right and up-down.

The swing arm makes it possible to draw back the bands without any problems, as the scope is out of the way.

It is very accurate!

Seems like the finishing job is ahead of me.

  2. Wild like the Taliban! That is high speed. I wonder if there could be a way to make the stock fold over to the side and the stirrup fold up and under for transport. Maybe ammo storage in the stock might be possible too. Hmm. I could keep the crock pot full and the gardens empty of varmints with one of those without the meddling neighbors having a clue. Brilliant work!

  3. Elegantly efficient, solved simply, and particulary practical. Well done again, Joerg. It adds to the overall orginization of the weapon and all-in-all appeal. You never cease to amaze me.

  4. Woah! nothing like a scope to make a gun look official, it looks very close to a g36 especially for a slingshot.
    Good stuff!

  5. You need to give it a more custom name! The bull pup sling-x-bow is cool but it doesn't have the pop it deserves!

  12. Very nice design, and with the scope it's extremely precise, I guess. You could go hunting with it. Its very strong, you can let it be load, and its very accurate. With camouflage it would also be nice in forests. Awesome!

  14. For now, just paint. I completed my first camo job today, came out good - unbelievable, what a bit of paint can do.

Will let it dry over night, pics on the morrow.

  15. Camo wins first place! :D

Now, how do you setup scope angle and position to make it acurate? Is it just parallel with hole weapon? Any trick or rule for it?

You should call it VIOLATOR! \m/
    Cheerz!
