I drove down 170 miles to meet the guys that want to help me with my summer project (car size slingshot cannon). The site is just perfect, and the guys are great.
We had a party later on, with lots of shooting. We destroyed TVs, a computer monitor, phones, even a ghetto blaster!
The video shows a few scenes from the event, and also contains the info for the next drawing.
Watch it on youtube
You can win a "Panther" or a "Cougar"!
Don't miss the free manual for the Panther, it is available on google docs and contains a lot of very useful information for other slingshot types too - even a tutorial how to make your own flatbands.
Download the pdf from google docs
the bands probably gonna be HUGE!! :))
ReplyDeleteThat party sounds like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteWould love to be able to destroy what ever I can get my hands on with a nice variety of weapons ;).
Looking forward to that big, what I would call a, 'Slingshot Ballista'.
Good luck and have fun.
Looking forward to the 10x cannon!
ReplyDeleteI noticed one of your friends had a slingshot with a very short stabilizer that sort of wrapped over the back of the thumb. Did I see correctly, and how would this be made?
ReplyDeleteI don't do websites but I do graphic art and photo manipulations/restoration, etc. .. if you need art for your website, look me up. http://bj666.deviantart.com/

Hey Jörg,
ReplyDeleteHow would you build this cannon in mediaval times? What could have been instead of the modern elastic bands?
Thanks,
That was hilarious! It looked like a fun place to be, shooting TVs and stuff. I am totally stoked to see this slingshot cannon. Who knows, maybe it will even be powerful enough to enter a Pumpkin Chunkin' contest! That would be awesome if you were able to enter.
ReplyDeleteI'd be afraid of the kind of damage this slingshot super cannon can do.
ReplyDeleteUhuuuuuuu... So cool.. Ever thought about a workshop around the slingshot? I would visit it...
ReplyDeleteMentioned I am interested in winning a slingshot?
Wow! That must have been tons of fun! ;)
ReplyDeleteGood luck creating you weapons of accurate destruction!
I think that you need to be a professor for slingshots... Good luck building your giant project, I'M looking forward to it. :)
ReplyDeleteI really think you need to visit the US and design a slingshot for the annual punkin chunkin competition in Bridgeville Delaware. How far do you think you can shoot a 8 pound pumpkin?
ReplyDelete:) Car size slingshot cannon :)
ReplyDelete...Hell yeah...
Really looking forward to this...

ReplyDeletegood luck jorge hope it goes well by the way what does it shoot 6pound cannonballs?
ReplyDeleteWoow! A Destruction party with a crazy slingshot lover german guy... that was surely AWSOME! I'm planning some impact explosive that would add a lot of fun on that. If I'm succesful on a not too dangerous formula I'll put some videos on youtube.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Brazil.
Hightech meets lowtech! I have made atlatls, slings, crossbows,... I have never made a slingshot! I don't know why,...I will just have to remedy that!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for doing innovative things with sling shots. Life can be more fulfilling when we use our imaginations to do things in a unique way. Way to go. Jörg Sprave, you made my day!
ReplyDeleteFantastic stuff! The slingshot party in the basement was the best. It looked like the ultimate "Man Cave"!
ReplyDeleteI think I'll go place an order at Dankung now...
