Congrats to mckeee. I like you are giving sling-shots away, but most of us are here for the fun of your many innovative and most interesting rubber powered devices. I looked at your cannon, then I looked at my personal hand-made, Joerg-inspired sling-shot and felt frustrated (?), discontented (?), envious (?), or just generally dissatisfied. I took it out this morning to work out some frustration and within minutes, I was smiling from the fun it was. It's no cannon, but it's a heck of a lot of fun, nonetheless. Thank you Joerg, for showing us the fun.
Or if you were thinking small you can show us how to make a fully automatic slingshot one that reloads and recocks the mechanism just by turning a crank or something, or a pump action slingshot. That would be cool.
Congrats to the winner. Joerg I received my WIRED magazine and was very surprised to see you there, Congratulations on your success. From seeing all the dedication you put to slingshots it reminded me of a slingshot that my grandfather made over 70 years ago from a Guava branch he found while walking around his ranch in Mexico, I actually never met him he died many years before I was born but my grandmother tells me stories of his abilities to make such beautiful slingshots that they made people admire them. He made them from such woods as Ash, Mesquite, and Encino (Mexican Holm Oak) but the most beautiful was that Guava wood slingshot they say that days after he died a friend of his asked if he could have it to remember him. Well Joerg I do admire your slingshots but I wish you would let your craftsmanship shine and produce a real nice slingshot the old way; you know by finding a branch and doing it by hand (NO POWER TOOLS). Thanks for sharing your work.
Joerg, congrats on the article that was posted on wizard.com. It was a wonderful article about you. I encourage you to post it here and sharemit with others. Enjoynyour businessntrip in Berlin and remember all work and no play sucks.
